Job Description
The Assistant Manager for Support-Design & Development plays a pivotal role in crafting innovative designs for bedding and beach products aimed at the US market. This position requires a keen understanding of current trends, client expectations, and brand objectives. The role involves close collaboration with the Design Director based in the US, as well as design teams in both the US and India. The Assistant Manager is responsible for interpreting customer requirements to deliver high-quality, market-specific products. This role demands a strong foundation in design principles, aesthetics, and market intelligence. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in packaging, software applications, and manufacturing knowledge to drive design excellence. Additionally, the role requires a global mindset and the ability to navigate complex business environments with commercial acumen.

Principal Accountabilities
Design and develop creative concepts for bedding sheets utility soft home accessories and beach categories for owned brand licensed brand and private label customersbrCreate conceptual and marketappropriate original print woven and embellished designs using CAD or hand techniques under the guidance of senior design team membersbrDevelop detailed tech packs and spec sheets for designs ensuring all specifications are accurately documentedbrUpload and manage tech packs spec sheets and related data in PLM software such as BeProduct to maintain organized and accessible design documentationbrCollaborate with clients and internal teams to present and refine design concepts ensuring alignment with client expectations and brand goalsbrCoordinate with merchandising marketing and production teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of productsbrTravel to factory locations to oversee workflows and sampling processes ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standardsbrEnsure design quality and address productionrelated challenges implementing solutions to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction
