What is this role all about?

A Strategic Sales Consultant focuses on improving how the organization sells, not just closing individual deals, by analyzing current sales performance, market trends, and customer behavior to recommend actionable strategies.

The role sits between sales leadership and on-ground teams, turning business goals into GTM plans, territory strategies, and enablement programs that drive predictable pipeline and revenue.

  • Partner with the West Sales Head to design and refine regional GTM plans, including segmentation, ICP definition, and coverage models across accounts and territories.
  • Build and continuously improve sales playbooks, pitches, battlecards, and case-study decks tailored to priority verticals and personas in the West region.
  • Support complex/strategic deals by shaping problem statements, value hypotheses, ROI narratives, and meeting structures for CXO and functional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with marketing on campaigns, events, and content that feed the regional pipeline, and provide feedback loops from field to marketing and product.
  • Coach AEs/SDRs on opportunity qualification, consultative discovery, proposal structuring, and competitive positioning; identify skill gaps and recommend training.

This is a Mumbai-based role. We work five days a week from the office, as we believe in-person interactions fuel innovation and agility. This role requires a willingness to travel when required.

Success in this role is defined by your ability to stay agile and adaptive in a fast-moving environment while meaningfully contributing to the sales process—quickly understanding shifting priorities, adjusting your approach with clarity, elevating customer conversations, identifying opportunities or gaps, and ultimately helping drive stronger conversions and predictable revenue outcomes.

What would make you a good fit for this role?

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • 5–8+ years in B2B / SaaS sales, sales consulting, or sales strategy, with a track record of influencing revenue outcomes (not just operations/reporting).
  • Experience working directly with senior sales leaders on GTM, territory planning, or new-region/vertical launches is highly valued for strategic consultant roles.
  • Strong commercial acumen: ability to translate market/competitor insights and data into practical GTM moves and account strategies.
  • Advanced Excel/BI and CRM proficiency to slice pipeline data, segment accounts, and track initiative impact.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills for creating decks, one-pagers, and ROI narratives that enable AEs in the field.
  • Stakeholder management and influence skills to work with sales, marketing, product, and sometimes customer success without direct authority.

You Will Have An Advantage If You

Prior experience in CX, contact center, or AI/SaaS sales so they can quickly map Kapture-like solutions to vertical-specific problems in BFSI, retail, etc.
