The State Head – Car Loans is responsible for leading and expanding the car loan business across the assigned state. This strategic role focuses on increasing revenue per customer, scaling product distribution, and enhancing portfolio quality. The role involves building strong partnerships with dealers, OEMs, and channel partners, while collaborating with internal teams such as Product, Sales, Digital Marketing, and Analytics to drive growth. The incumbent is expected to foster a culture of innovation, digital enablement, and customer centricity, ensuring IDFC FIRST Bank becomes the preferred choice for car loan solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the car loan business across the state to drive revenue growth and customer engagement.
Guide the distribution of cross-sell products to meet volume and growth targets.
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to increase customer penetration through digital channels.
Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key dealers, OEMs, and channel/product partners to expand portfolio reach.
Monitor portfolio performance and quality; provide recommendations for course correction to Product and Sales teams.
Work with the Product team to develop differentiated offerings in the car loan category.
Partner with the Business Analytics team to identify cross-sell opportunities and optimize customer engagement.
Secondary Responsibilities
Create an environment focused on digital enablement to meet evolving customer needs.
Drive initiatives aligned with the bank’s rapid growth targets and strategic objectives.
Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities
Mentor and coach senior team members to instill a culture of customer centricity, innovation, compliance, and integrity.
Promote automation and digital transformation across teams.
Attract and retain top talent to support business expansion and performance excellence.
Demonstrate ability to build, lead and motivate high-performing teams.
What We Are Looking For
Education
Graduate in any discipline.
Postgraduate qualification (MBA/PGDM) is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in car loans or retail lending, with leadership exposure.
Skills and Attributes
Strong strategic and analytical thinking with deep domain expertise in car loans.
Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to drive business growth while maintaining portfolio quality and compliance.
Experience in digital banking initiatives and customer experience enhancement.
High level of integrity and execution orientation.
