So, what’s the job?
- Youll work with internal stakeholders—including Business, Legal, Finance, and IT—to understand procurement needs and requirements.
- You’ll guide stakeholders to follow established IT procurement policies and best practices.
- You’ll manage the full lifecycle of software and subscription renewals prior to expiry, aligned with the IT budget.
- You’ll provide supply‑market insights along with sourcing advice and recommendations.
- You’ll prepare and tailor RFX documents using existing templates to enable suppliers to bid for projects or services.
- You’ll manage the supplier bidding and evaluation process in collaboration with stakeholders.
- You’ll negotiate and review basic contractual terms with vendors.
- You’ll manage suppliers in line with the company’s supplier management framework.
- You’ll work with the extended Zurich Contract Management Services team to ensure supplier due diligence is completed.
- You’ll identify high‑impact cost‑reduction opportunities where appropriate.
- You’ll resolve operational or contractual issues, such as discrepancies between invoices and contract commitments.
- You’ll build and monitor spend reports for key vendors as required.
- You’ll support the team with procurement administration tasks as needed.
- You’ll deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- You’ll ensure all communication—written, phone, or face‑to‑face—is clear, professional, and aligned with company standards.
- You’ll handle all confidential information in line with company protocols and procedures.
- You’ll use influence and reasoning—not command and control—to gain stakeholder buy‑in.
- You’ll ensure every interaction reflects the company’s Brand Promise and maintains the highest communication standards.
And what are we looking for?
- You’ll bring 7–8 years of procurement experience within a corporate environment, ideally within Procurement, Finance, or IT teams. You should have at least 4–5 years of focused IT procurement experience, especially in software deals.
- You’ll hold a business-related degree—in fields such as business, economics, finance, law, or a related discipline.
- You’ll be favourably positioned if you have completed CIPSA training or hold relevant procurement qualifications.
- You’ll have strong communication skills, including confidence in spoken and written English and active listening abilities.
- You’ll be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- You’ll demonstrate flexibility by supporting team members outside your core scope of work when needed.
- You’ll be open to feedback and comfortable adapting based on guidance.
- You’ll have experience maintaining positive working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- You’ll show effective time management and organisational skills.
- You’ll be comfortable collaborating with colleagues across Australia, India, and EMEA, including working across time zones when required.
