Specialist Power BI Full Stack Developer

What you will do

As a Power BI Full Stack Developer, you are responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable, governed, and user‑friendly analytics solutions across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and governance teams to deliver trusted, secure and performant insights at scale. Your role supports tesa’s data‑driven decision‑making and enterprise analytics strategy.

Power BI Solution Development

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and apps aligned with enterprise reporting standards. Build and maintain semantic models, including fact tables, DAX KPIs, hierarchies, RLS, and metadata definitions. Develop and optimize Power BI Dataflows for transformation and data prep (as used in central master-data flows). Ensure alignment with the Power BI governance framework, workspace standards, and deployment pipeline processes
  
  
  

Backend/Data Integration

• Work with Data Engineers to connect Power BI models to curated datasets (SQL, Snowflake, SAP BW/ODP, Datasphere, etc.). Implement reusable calculation groups, transformations, and logical layers. Ensure performance optimization through indexing, partitions, incremental refresh, and DAX tuning
  
  
  

Platform Operations & Support

• Operate Power BI solutions in line with internal governance rules (workspace types, semantic model structure, RLS, refresh standards). Handle incident resolution and 3rd‑Level support for BI reporting. Ensure stable data refresh cycles and troubleshoot failures. Work closely with Compliance teams for GDPR‑relevant data usage
  
  
  

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve performance, user experience, and self‑service BI enablement. Contribute to standardization of semantic models and reporting processes across business functions. Support central BI team in enhancing architecture and governance
  
  
  

Governance & Security

• Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and organizational data access rules. Ensure platform usage complies with data governance, security, and privacy policies. Participate in BI governance meetings and alignment sessions
  
  
  

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into high-quality BI solutions. Provide training, documentation, and enablement for business power users
  
  
  

What you will need

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Fluent command of English
  
  
  

Technical Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years’ experience in BI development with a good understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Proven track record designing end-to-end BI solutions
• Experience working within governed enterprise BI environments
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service (Data modeling, DAX, Power Query, Tabular Editor)
• Experience with deployment pipelines, workspace governance, and semantic model architecture
• Experience connecting Power BI to enterprise data sources like Snowflake
• Strong grasp of data governance principles (security, access control)
• Understanding of frontend visualization best practices and UX
