About the Role

The Cost Management Team at IDFC First Bank is dedicated to driving cost optimization initiatives and partnering with various teams for end-to-end implementation. The team focuses on improving process efficiencies and reducing the cost-to-income ratio. We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Specialist who will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing expenses to ensure cost efficiency across the Bank. The role involves leading a team of professionals, driving initiatives that enhance financial efficiency, and contributing to the Bank’s profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team comprising analysts and senior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and financial accountability.
• Analyze current spending patterns, identify areas for potential savings, and propose actionable solutions.
• Identify cost optimization projects and partner with teams for major initiatives from concept initiation, planning, cost-saving estimation, through to implementation.
• Provide interim feedback to management on project status as required.
• Engage with business and support teams to review end-to-end business processes and suggest measures to improve efficiencies.
• Develop and execute cost-saving projects that align with the Bank’s strategic goals.
• Monitor the effectiveness of cost-saving measures and adjust strategies as necessary.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support informed strategic decisions.

• Identify, recommend, and implement cost optimization opportunities to enhance financial performance and efficiency.
  
  

• Graduation: B.Com
• Post-graduation: MBA
• Professional Qualification/Certification: CA / CFA
  
  

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
