Marsh McLennan Global Services India Private Limited (MMGS) is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mumbai, India office:

Analyst – Analytics Solutions, Marsh Advisory

  • The Analyst will work within the Analytics Solutions team of Marsh Advisory, reporting to the Manager / Deputy Manager of the team.
  • Perform and develop a wide variety of financial and statistical analysis to help Marsh’s clients quantify the risks they face and make decisions on how best to protect themselves against those risks.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist in the development of new, market-leading analytics-based tools to assess risk under direct supervision.
  • Perform basic quantitative modelling and statistical analysis in order to assess risk and viability of risk mitigation solutions.
  • Provide research support to identify recommendations that minimize the cost of risk.
  • Assist in matching analytical services to clients financial needs to forecast risk, losses, and financial impact.
  • Apply basic understanding of product and risk assessment and possible outcomes by scenario testing.
  • Support team members in designing analytical models and processes to help internal and external clients quantify and mitigate risks.
  • Support projects and tool development by doing relevant research.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations relating to actuarial advice.

What you need to have:

  • A degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Actuarial/Computer Science/Engineering
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Cleared 2-6 actuarial papers. Preferably (CS1, CS2, CM2)
  • Detailed knowledge of actuarial pricing techniques
  • Detail orientation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (including VBA a plus)
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
