As a sourcer at Chain IQ, you will support our clients by running quick, often competitive negotiations and contributing to the strategic aspects of supplier management. Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Negotiation Support
Run fast and efficient sourcing activities, including competitive negotiations.
Support the development of negotiation strategies for low-value, high-velocity purchasing needs.
Ensure clear documentation, clean data, and consistent professional interactions with suppliers.
Supplier & Stakeholder Interaction
Collaborate with suppliers to gather information, clarify scope, and optimize outcomes.
Provide guidance to client stakeholders on purchasing steps, preferred suppliers, and best practices.
Operational Excellence
Contribute to improving sourcing processes, workflows, and cycle times.
Support the adoption of digital procurement tools, AI-enabled solutions, and automation.
Maintain a “first time right” mindset in all sourcing activities.
Team Collaboration & Learning
Work closely with senior sourcers and category managers, learning from experienced colleagues every day.
Share insights and contribute to a collaborative team culture across Chain IQ’s global organization.
Actively participate in a professional environment where continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and innovation are encouraged.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Degree in Economics, Building, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering.
Ideally prior experience in the construction procurement, covering both development and property management procurement.
Experience must in facility management industry commercial management or procurement
Minimum 5 + years of experience, with a portion spent in large national, global corporate, consultancy or professional service provider environment.
Preferred experience in Indian Real Estate markets, with specific knowledge of GST/e-invoicing, MSME regulations, and local labor/material market rates.
Technical Competencies
Expertise in Two‑Envelope tendering, technical/commercial negotiations and/or auctioning.
Strong commercial acumen with experience digital procurement solutions
Skills in cost benchmarking, value engineering, and life‑cycle costing.
Behavioural Skills
Strong client management capabilities, with the ability to handle demanding stakeholder requirements.
Agile and adaptable across multiple asset types such as Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Township projects.
Skilled in conflict resolution, contractor management, and issue escalation to avoid project delays.
