Hi Im Akhil Vutukuri the QA Team Lead at HowNow 👋🏾 I’m looking for a SDET to join us.

At HowNow, youll have the opportunity to implement all aspects of non-functional testing from scratch, giving you hands-on experience and the chance to shape our testing framework. Day-to-day tasks will include 📩

• You’ll collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
• You’ll write and execute manual and automated test cases to validate product functionality and quality.
• You’ll develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript.
• You’ll assist in creating and enhancing automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• You’ll automate test scenarios for functional and regression testing.
• You’ll perform API testing using tools like Axios with Playwright and TypeScript.
• You’ll assist with the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• You’ll write SQL queries for database validation and testing.
• You’ll analyze test results, identifying bugs, and collaborating with the development team for resolution.
• You’ll learn and implement best practices in testing and automation to continuously improve test coverage and efficiency.
  
  

The key things that we will be looking for in applicants 🔑

• 1–5 years of experience in software testing, including automation testing.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for UI automation.
• Basic knowledge of API test automation using Axios or similar tools.
• Familiarity with writing and maintaining automation frameworks (experience building frameworks is a plus).
• Knowledge of version control systems like GIT.
• Experience in manual testing and a good understanding of QA processes.
• Exposure to CI/CD platforms and a basic understanding of their role in automation.
• Ability to write basic SQL queries for database validation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
