The Senior Manager – Taxation will be responsible for leading aspects of the global Taxation function and advising on overall group tax strategy, ensuring legal compliance and minimizing tax costs. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with local consultants to manage tax assessments and resolve disputes, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with tax laws and regulations worldwide.

Job Description

  • Optimize tax efficiency and devise strategies for reducing overall group tax costs.
  • Assist in developing tax-efficient mechanisms for repatriating profits and managing transfer pricing policies.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax regulations, both domestically and internationally.
  • Manage global tax compliance obligations, including DAC6 reporting, Country by Country reporting, Master file filing, and Economic Substance Rules.
  • Provide guidance on international business tax structures, including intercompany transactional activity, transfer pricing, and foreign tax credits.
  • Collaborate with business units to structure compliant and tax-efficient business arrangements.
  • Draft and review transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with global transfer pricing regulations.
  • Advise finance teams and other stakeholders on tax implications and optimal tax structures for new operations and business models.
  • Review consolidated global tax provisions, coordinate with accounting and other departments, and manage related MIS reporting.
  • Manage tax audits, advise on litigation matters, and represent the company before tax authorities as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of global tax updates and analyze their potential impact on the group.
  • Contribute to the achievement of key ESG KPIs, including diversity, equity and inclusion, employee empowerment, and reduction of GHG emissions.
  • Drive tax automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and mitigate tax risks.
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives for the tax department at both the company and group level.

Education

  • Graduate in commerce, Chartered Accountant certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Experience

  • 10 – 12 years of experience in International Taxation, preferably from a Big 4 accounting firm
