What You'll Do
- Develop and enhance production systems that handle high traffic and business-critical workloads.
- Design scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems, clearly articulating architectural boundaries and data flow.
- Write efficient production code in Python and Django, including API development and database migrations.
- Resolve production issues effectively while taking ownership of the systems you build.
- Deploy and manage cloud services on AWS, ensuring safe releases and proper configuration.
- Optimize SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure robust performance under growing data volumes.
- Build and maintain performant APIs, ensuring backward compatibility and observability.
- Utilize AI tools to improve engineering productivity through coding and testing enhancements.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and production delivery.
- Proficient in Python and Django with a strong background in API and database design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including service management and deployment strategies.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and indexing.
- Demonstrated ability to debug production issues and optimize existing systems effectively.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with AI tools to enhance coding and debugging processes.
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers and leading project initiatives.
- Knowledge of client-side frameworks would be an additional advantage.
