Join the team leading the next evolution of virtual care.
At Teladoc Health, you are empowered to bring your true self to work while helping millions of people live their healthiest lives.
Here you will be part of a high-performance culture where colleagues embrace challenges, drive transformative solutions, and create opportunities for growth. Together, we’re transforming how better health happens.
We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Software Engineer to design and build scalable solutions on our Salesforce Service Cloud platform, which supports clinical care coordination and patient engagement workflows. This role owns technical design decisions, mentors other engineers, and partners closely with product and clinical stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and performant Salesforce solutions.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, and maintain solutions on Salesforce Service Cloud using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Flow, and declarative tools.
Architect scalable data models, integrations, and automation that support high-volume clinical and contact center operations.
Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance on Salesforce best practices, governor limits, and platform performance.
Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns.
Partner with product managers, QA, and clinical operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.
Own code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipeline practices (e.g., Salesforce DX, Copado, or similar).
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including performance bottlenecks and integration failures.
Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, and contribute to engineering standards and documentation.
Stay current with Salesforce release cycles and proactively recommend platform improvements.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on Salesforce development.
Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, including case management, omni-channel routing, and console configuration.
Strong expertise in the Lightning Framework (Lightning Web Components and Aura), Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Flow.
Proven experience designing and building integrations (REST/SOAP, middleware, event-driven/streaming patterns).
Solid understanding of Salesforce data architecture, security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules), and governor limits.
Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments.
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional, non-technical stakeholders.
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Platform Developer II a plus).
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications
Experience integrating Salesforce with Five9 (contact center/telephony) and Twilio (CPaaS/voice/SMS APIs).
Familiarity with event-driven and asynchronous architectures and experience integrating Salesforce with Kafka
Experience developing middleware services using Java/Spring Boot for integration with Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, including care plans, provider/patient data models, and healthcare-specific compliance considerations (e.g., HIPAA).
Experience in healthcare, telehealth, or another regulated industry.
Familiarity with clinical or contact-center workflow platforms and CTI (computer telephony integration).
Front-end development experience with Angular and React.
Experience with Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring, or other platform security/compliance tooling.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development practices.
What We're Looking For
A senior engineer who can operate independently, make sound architectural tradeoffs, and communicate technical decisions clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders — someone comfortable owning a platform area end-to-end in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
As part of our hiring process, we verify identity and credentials, conduct interviews (live or video), and screen for fraud or misrepresentation. Applicants who falsify information will be disqualified.
