The SeniorRisk Manager– Commercial Vehicles is responsible for evaluating and managing risk across the Commercial Vehicle loan portfolio within the Retail Banking business. Based in Mumbai, the role focuses on policy formulation, portfolio monitoring, risk mitigation, and the implementation of digital tools to enhance efficiency. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the Bank’s risk appetite and business growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Evaluate Commercial Vehicle loan programs and policies in line with regulatory guidelines.
Establish strong controls to mitigate risks across onboarding, credit, operations, fraud, and reputation.
Monitor portfolio delinquencies at a granular level, identifying high-risk segments, locations, and customer profiles.
Ensure adherence to internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
Facilitate the implementation of technological interventions such as scorecards, digital journeys, and automation to streamline processes.
Define and shape the risk appetite for the product in alignment with business growth objectives and the Bank’s Risk Appetite Framework, including risk-based pricing.
Use analytics to track portfolio performance trends and identify actionable insights.
Serve as a policy expert and conduct training sessions as required.
Partner with underwriting, sales, and product teams to incorporate market feedback into proactive policy actions.
Ensure compliance of internal regulatory frameworks across the assigned loan business.
Manage vendors supporting risk-related processes.
Secondary Responsibilities
Promote the use of market intelligence and data analytics to support growth and profitability.
Stay updated on global market trends and competitor strategies in key markets.
Lead initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve profitability.
What We Are Looking For
Education
Graduation: Full time graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution.
Post-graduation: MBA from a recognised institution.
Experience
Minimum of8yearsof experience in retail lending risk management, preferably in vehicle finance or related segments within BFSI industry.
Skills and Attributes
Strong understanding of assigned loan products and credit risk frameworks.
Analytical mindset with expertise in data interpretation and decision-making.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in managing vendors and cross-functional collaboration.
High attention to detail and process orientation.
Leadership capabilities with a focus on team productivity, talent retention, and customer-centric service delivery.
