Overall Job Purpose:

The Alternative Asset Operations (AAO) team are responsible for the administration of a wide range of private assets and investments on behalf of its internal and external clients.

This role is supporting Fixed Income Front Office with the settlement and administration of Syndicated Bank Loans, CLO, Private Debt, Equity and Collective Investments. The Individual must carry relevant working experience of 10+ years supporting the delivery lead and will have working knowledge of processes, products, tools and regulations.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

The key responsibilities of this position are to work within a team which is responsible for the processing, instructing, settlement and on-going monitoring of Leveraged Loans, CLO, Private Debt, Equity and Collective Investment transactions. The individual will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the daily lifecycle activity of all Leveraged Loans, CLO, Private Debt and Collective Investments, from trade settlement, lifecycle activity (rollover, rate change, paydown, PIK, restructure, asset transfer, borrowing, equalisation) to sale or maturity.
• Ensuing all new SSIs are set up within Bottom-line in time for payment. Initiation, check and release of all payments relating to trade settlement transactions as well as ad hoc payments.
• To undertake and oversee Cash, Stock and Data reconciliations between Custodians, TPA’s, Aladdin, WSO, WSOWeb and AllVue, ensuring the team meet the SLA for each reconciliation.
• Able to respond to and guide the team in responding to internal queries from key stake holders such as fund managers and deal teams as well as external queries from clients, agents, custodians and borrowers within SLA time scales.
• Daily liaisons with the AAO (London) to address and resolve problems with underlying assets.
• Building relationships with custodians, agents, counterparts, AAO (London) and the relevant Front Office teams.
• Proactively identifying and implementing process improvements with the use of RPA and AI technology and working closely with the manager of AAO to provide ongoing improvement of the daily functions. Maintenance of internal AAO systems and assisting in the further development of said systems.
• Escalation, communication and resolution of errors, managing error logs and providing feedback to the AAO Manager as well as individual team members.
• Experience in leading or contributing to Ad-Hoc Business level projects, running testing across different environments like Dev, UAT etc. Sharing the outcome with Project leads or Business with suggestions if possible.
• Adherence to risk frameworks (RCSAs) ensuring appropriate process and procedures are in place and adhered to by all team members.
  
  

Domain Expertise:

• Excellent SWIFT knowledge. Must have practical hands on experience with the formatting and interpretation of MT210, MT202, MT103 and other SWIFT messages. Correctly interpreting and formatting complex multitier SSIs is essential.
• Working expertise on multiple asset classes such as CLO, Syndicated, Equity, Fixed Income, Structure Products, Private Assets, Real Estate investments, Collective investments, etc.
• Practical experience of WSO, WSOWeb and other S&P Markit platforms such as Markit Data and ClearPar is essential.
• Experience using BlackRock Aladdin is a significant plus
• An eye for detail and accuracy is key

Experience & Educational Qualification

Experience:

• Desired candidate must have minimum of 10 years of working experience in Syndicate Bank Loans, CLO and Private Debt loan processing
• Processing SWIFT payments and formatting of complex SSIs on payment platform, preferably Bottom Line
• Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Working Knowledge of WSO, WSOWeb and other S&P Marit Platforms
• Working Knowledge of Aladdin
• Loan Documentation Knowledge
  
  

Educational Qualification:

• Degree level in Finance/ Mathematics/ Economics
• Relevant IOC or Investment Management qualification / Certification would be desirable.
• Technical certifications like SQL and VB
