Position: Software Tester / QA Engineer – Digital Solutions
Location: Navi Mumbai (Mahape) Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech Experience: 3–7 Years
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Automation Tester with hands-on experience in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems testing. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and safety of SCADA-based industrial control systems. You will work closely with software engineers, control systems engineers, and project managers to ensure the highest quality across our critical infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for SCADA applications using industry-standard frameworks and scripting languages.
- Build end-to-end test suites to test, alarm management, historian modules, and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870, IEC 61850, SNMP, OPC-UA/DA).
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous regression testing.
- Create and manage test data, simulation environments, and configurations for realistic SCADA testing.
- Execute functional, regression, performance on SCADA platforms.
- Monitor automated test runs, triage failures, and log defects with clear reproduction steps in issue-tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Generate detailed test reports, coverage metrics, and traceability matrices aligned with project requirements.
- Participate in automation code reviews for test scripts to ensure quality, readability, and maintainability.
- Work with control systems and software engineers to understand system architecture, PLC/RTU integrations, and data flows.
- Contribute to test strategy, test plans, and QA documentation as per relevant industry standards.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively propose automation solutions to reduce manual effort.
- Support root cause analysis and provide feedback for continuous quality improvement.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business requirements and design documents.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Validate REST APIs, web applications, and mobile applications.
- Prepare test reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to resolve issues.
