About the Role

As a SeniorHindsightingManager within the Risk function, you will be responsible for executing credit hindsighting activities through sample-based reviews across various retail loan products. This role requires a deep understanding of retail credit policies, underwriting processes, and regulatory compliance. You will be expected to identify gaps in credit decisions, publish periodic reports and dashboards, and collaborate with internal teams to drive improvements. Your insights will play a key role in strengthening the bank’s credit governance and risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the hindsighting framework for all retail loan products, including Personal Loans (PL), Business Loans (BL), Mortgages, Used Cars (UC), Commercial Vehicles (CV), Equipment Hire (EH), and Kisan Credit Cards (KCC).
  • Conduct detailed account reviews to ensure credit decisions align with approved policies and processes.
  • Evaluate compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., RBI) and internal credit standards.
  • Identify process gaps and escalate findings to senior management.
  • Publish periodic hindsighting reports, dashboards, and scoring metrics.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Operations, and Policy teams to support changes in processes and policies.
  • Capture and share best practices across the team to enhance effectiveness and consistency.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Recommend improvements to credit processes and policies to enhance operational efficiency and customer service quality.
  • Leverage internal synergies by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Graduation: Full time graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution.
  • Post-graduation: Postgraduate in any discipline from a recognised institution.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in credit underwriting across various loan products.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong understanding of retail credit products, underwriting standards, and risk assessment.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and internal audit standards.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach.
