Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for the Home Care Liquid Cleaners category. This role will own vendor development, commercial negotiations, procurement execution, risk management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are consistently met.

This is a high-ownership role requiring strong execution skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Sourcing & Development

Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors across procurement categories

Drive supplier identification, sampling, trials, and technical approvals

Support New Product Development (NPD) sourcing and scale-up

Commercial & Procurement Execution

Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, payment terms, and contracts

Manage POs, order tracking, delivery follow-ups, and issue resolution

Optimize working capital and procurement costs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Product, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Demand Planning teams

Align specifications, forecasts, and timelines

Cost & Supply Chain Optimization

Drive cost reduction and margin improvement via alternate sourcing and value engineering

Monitor inventory to avoid stock-outs, excess, and obsolescence

Track supplier KPIs on cost, quality, delivery, and service

Risk & Supplier Management

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (single-source dependency, logistics disruptions, etc.)

Build strong supplier relationships and conduct periodic reviews

Implement procurement SOPs, documentation, and best practices

Requirements

Must Have

4–6 years of experience in Procurement (FMCG, D2C, or consumer brands preferred)

Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain fundamentals

Experience supporting sourcing for NPD and scale-up environments

Proven negotiation and commercial skills

Ability to manage multiple SKUs, vendors, and tight timelines

Strong stakeholder management and follow-up discipline

Analytical mindset with experience in cost breakdowns and spend analysis

Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment

Experience working with manufacturers, co-packers, or contract manufacturers

Good to Have

Exposure to sustainable / responsible sourcing

Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
