Role: Creative Associate
Location: Vikhorli , Mumbai (full-time, non-remote)
Team: Brand Love @ Purplle
We’re looking for Creative Associates who can help us turn brand vision into real work, at speed, without losing quality. You’ll work closely with a Brand Love Director to shape briefs, build context, coordinate execution with our specialist design teams, and make sure what
ships still feels like the brand.
If you enjoy making creative work actually happen, reducing chaos, and keeping quality high without slowing the team down, you’ll thrive here.
This role is for someone who can think like a creative, communicate like an operator, and move like production. It is not a pure project management or strategy only role. You won’t just chase timelines and take notes, you’ll build briefs, reference kits, rough layouts, and route decks that make high-quality execution possible.
What You’ll Own
Clarity and momentum for a brand team
- You’ll help the Brand Love Director turn intent into execution across packs, PDPs, campaigns, and moments.
Briefs that don’t get misread
- You’ll write and structure creative briefs that the craft teams can execute without guessing
or rework.
Context and references that raise the bar
- You’ll pull, curate, and organise references that aren’t just “pretty”, but useful and on-brand.
Route storytelling
- You’ll build decks and presentations that show routes in real context, not isolated assets.
Quality control before things ship
- You’ll help ensure what gets delivered matches what was agreed, and flag drift early.
What you’ll do day to day
Work closely with the Brand Love Director to translate brand direction into actionable briefs
- Clarify the objective, the customer, the emotion, the proof, and the constraints
Prepare complete handoffs to our central specialist design teams (Packaging & Artwork, PDP & A+, Online Campaigns)
- Build rough layouts and narrative flows when helpful, not pixel-perfect design, but enough structure to guide the team and prevent drift
Pull and organise references with intention
- Competitive, cultural, creator, retail, platform, and craft references depending on
the project
Coordinate timelines, reviews, and clarifications
- Be the person who prevents “half-briefs” and “late surprises” from becoming the default
Prepare route decks that show the system
- PDP plus pack plus tiles plus banners plus shelf, so the story is seen end-to-end
Support the Brand Love Director in moment development
- Help build the moment kit: what repeats, what changes, what needs to ship across touchpoints
Help with QA and coherence checks
- Flag when hierarchy breaks, when tone drifts, when the system is being quietly compromised
Capture learnings and ensure reuse
- Work with our Asset Management team to archive the right masters, modules, and references so we compound learning
Who you’ll work with
Brand Love Director: your primary partner, and the person you help make the brand real
Head of Brand Love: for priorities, operating rhythm, and escalation support
Craft pod Art Directors: Packaging & Artwork, PDP & A+, Online Campaigns
Brand Managers and Business Owners: to align on priorities, constraints, and timelines
External partners: agencies, production, creators, vendors when required
Other internal stakeholders
You’ll be a good fit if
You’re allergic to vague briefs and chaotic feedback loops
- You can turn messy inputs into clear creative direction without losing the soul of the work
You have strong taste, even if you’re not an Art Director
- You know what good looks like, and you can articulate why in simple language
You can speak “design”
- Hierarchy, spacing, contrast, rhythm, restraint. You can look at work and explain what’s working and what isn’t
You’re organised without being bureaucratic
- You can run timelines, reviews, and handoffs without turning the job into admin
You have high standards, but you don’t slow the team down
- You flag issues early, you propose fixes, you move forward
You’re comfortable working across multiple touchpoints
- Packs, PDPs, performance creatives, social formats, retail, moments
You’re calm under pressure
- You can handle urgency without letting quality collapse
Experience we’re looking for
2-4 years of experience in a creative operations, brand, content, design, or agency environment
Strong evidence of working on multi-touchpoint brand work, not just one-off creatives
A portfolio or body of work that shows one or more of the following:
- decks and route presentations that show creative thinking in context
- content planning and creative development work
- brand or campaign work where you played a shaping and execution role
- strong reference curation and brief writing
- basic layout ability and a sharp eye for quality
Comfort With Tools Like
Google Docs/Sheets, Chat GPT/Gemini/or other AI tools
Bonus if you can do light design: basic layouts, markups, and quick mock structures
Bonus if you are skillful with any AI Image Gen platforms
How we work
This is a hands-on role inside a Brand Pod, connected to a central system.
We run on systems, not heroics. We’d rather write one great brief and build one reusable kit than reinvent the same work 50 times.
You will be close to real craft. You’ll learn how brands are built across packaging, e-commerce, campaigns and moments, and you’ll work with Art Directors who take quality seriously.
This role rewards people who can create clarity, protect the brand, and ship work that actually lands in the world.
