Job Summary

On behalf of our India-based client in the Automotive & Manufacturing Technology sector, we are seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant specialized in the design and configuration of the SAP Sales and Distribution module. The position requires hands-on expertise in pricing, account determination, revenue recognition, and SAP SD user exits, along with strong proficiency in ABAP debugging and cross-functional module integration. This is a remote engagement with flexible options for full-time, part-time, or contract-based employment

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure the SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module to meet business requirements
• Work with SAP SD user exits for sales order, delivery, and billing processes
• Configure and support SD pricing procedures
• Support SD account assignment and revenue recognition processes
• Debug and troubleshoot SAP ABAP code related to SD functionality
• Write functional/technical specifications for ABAP custom programs and interfaces
• Support intercompany postings and pro forma invoice processes
• Collaborate on integration between SD and other SAP modules
  
  

Required Skills

• Specialized experience in design and configuration of the SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module
• Experience with SAP SD user exits for sales order, delivery, and billing
• Good knowledge of SD pricing
• Understanding of SD account assignment and revenue recognition processes
• Knowledge of SAP ABAP with debugging skills
  
  

Good to Have

• Ability to debug ABAP
• Experience performing SAP configurations in the SD area
• Experience writing functional/technical specifications for ABAP custom programs and interfaces
• Experience with intercompany postings and pro forma invoices
• Experience with integration across other SAP modules
  
  

AI Experience

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools for ABAP debugging or documentation is a plus
• Interest in applying AI-assisted tools to accelerate configuration testing and specification writing
  
  

Managerial Experience

As an individual contributor, the role requires the ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional SAP teams and business stakeholders.

Operational Experience

• Experience supporting live SAP SD configurations in production environments
• Experience with intercompany postings, pro forma invoices, and cross-module integration in production support
• Experience debugging and resolving ABAP-related issues impacting SD processes
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline)
• 7 to 15 years of relevant hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration and support
• Capable of working independently and managing responsibilities effectively within a remote, geographically distributed team.
  
  

Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory)

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Sales, or equivalent
• Any relevant SAP ABAP or cross-module certification is a plus
