The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure that our products meet regulatory requirements and Environmental norms. We should work closely with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve product quality and reliability.
Quality Control Processes: Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for manufacturing environmental products. Define quality metrics and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Product Testing and Validation: Design and execute comprehensive testing protocols to validate the performance, reliability, and safety of composting machines, incinerators, and other environmental equipment.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that environmental products comply with relevant regulatory standards and certifications, such as EPA regulations, ISO standards, and industry-specific requirements. Stay updated on changes in regulations and ensure product designs and manufacturing processes remain compliant.
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues and customer complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Use problem-solving techniques such as root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and 5 Whys to address quality issues and improve product reliability.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and corrective actions taken. Prepare quality reports and metrics to track product quality, defects, and non-conformances. Communicate quality-related information to stakeholders, including management, engineering teams, and production staff.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to production staff on quality control processes, procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization by fostering a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures. Implement lean manufacturing principles and quality management methodologies to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Qualifications And Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical/Electrical/Quality assurance/Quality management.
Strong understanding of quality management principles particularly in manufacturing.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards applicable to environmental products ISO 9001/14001/OSHAS etc.
Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques to identify root causes of quality issues, implement corrective action.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing quality control tasks, documenting test results, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Experience with Quality Management Systems, Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and quality control processes,
