Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the products or services offered by a company meet established standards of quality. The position entails overseeing the entire quality assurance process, from planning and implementing quality control procedures to evaluating their outcomes. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, including production, development, and customer service, to ensure a holistic approach to quality management. A successful Quality Assurance Manager not only focuses on defect identification but also implements proactive measures to prevent quality issues from occurring. This position demands strong leadership qualities, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of quality management systems to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies tailored to company needs.
  • Supervise and mentor quality assurance teams to enhance their performance.
  • Design and execute comprehensive quality testing plans and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards consistently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality improvement opportunities.
  • Establish quality benchmarks and analyze testing results against these standards.
  • Investigate product quality issues and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to quality assurance processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to evaluate and improve operational processes.
  • Report quality performance metrics to senior management regularly.
  • Coordinate corrective actions and follow-ups on quality-related issues consistently.
  • Stay informed about new tools and methods to enhance quality assurance efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in quality assurance management roles.
  • Proven knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for quality assessments.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and guide teams.
  • Experience with quality assurance software tools and testing techniques necessary.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma or ISO QMS Auditor are highly desirable.
