We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer with minimum 3 years of experience to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality assurance and control activities in line with project requirements and organizational standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of quality processes, technical acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively within a project team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Control
Assist in the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards and project specifications.
Prepare and review Quality Assurance and Quality Control documentation, including Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with approved plans, drawings, and project standards.
Inspection and Testing
Perform inspections and testing of materials, equipment, and processes at various stages of the project lifecycle.
Monitor and document testing activities, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications.
Coordinate with third-party testing agencies to verify the quality of materials and processes as required.
Non-Conformance Management
Identify and document non-conformances and deviations in materials, workmanship, or processes.
Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance records.
Prepare and submit periodic quality reports for review by the project manager and client.
Support the review and approval process for contractor and supplier quality documentation.
Supplier and Subcontractor Quality
Conduct inspections and evaluations of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure their compliance with quality standards.
Assist in monitoring supplier and subcontractor performance and providing feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Review material submittals and samples against project requirements and specifications.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to address quality-related issues.
Provide guidance and support to team members on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met.
Compliance and Standards
Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to the project.
Ensure that QA/QC processes comply with applicable statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Support external audits and inspections conducted by clients or regulatory authorities.
Key Skills And Competencies
Solid knowledge of quality management principles and ISO 9001 standards.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, project specifications, and industry codes.
Familiarity with QA/QC tools and software (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications And Experience
Diploma /B.Tech - Mech
3 to 7 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in Hydro Power Project.
Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, ASME, ACI, or other industry-specific codes.
Certification in quality management or related areas (e.g., ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Experience working on medium to large-scale projects is advantageous.
