Job Description

  • Lead the sales, marketing, and business development activities for the Polyethylene (PE) portfolio across India.
  • Deliver volume, revenue, and profitability targets while ensuring sustainable business growth.
  • Develop and execute annual and medium-term business plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Identify new customer segments, applications, and geographic markets to expand market share.
  • Drive strategic sourcing and purchasing decisions, including import planning across multiple ports.
  • Build and strengthen supplier relationships to achieve commercial and operational objectives.
  • Monitor pricing, margins, and profitability metrics to optimize business performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while expanding the customer base.
  • Conduct regular customer engagements to improve satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage credit exposure, collections, and compliance-related customer requirements.
  • Oversee inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient working capital management.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, logistics, and regional teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Lead periodic business reviews with regional teams and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and business forecasts to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal business units to maximize organizational value and cross-functional synergies.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor high-performing commercial teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • Graduate degree required; postgraduate qualification in Marketing preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience within the polymer industry, preferably in Polyethylene (PE).
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience with responsibility for business performance and P&L management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven success in sales, business development, and profit center management.
  • Experience in supplier management, inventory planning, and credit management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong focus on execution and results.
