As a key member of the Cards Processing Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of daily processes to move funds between UBS and our card vendors. You’ll work cross-functionally to support operations by:
- Proven leadership experience, including coaching/mentoring peers, leading workstreams, and driving accountability for timelines and outcomes.
- Managing resolution of errors and rejections on card applications and communicating solutions and outcomes to branch staff.
- Validating card benefit and promotional requests for eligibility and processing redemptions.
- Manage with urgency the end-to-end card issuance process, including card production, personalization, and distribution.
- Reconciliation of multiple general ledgers used for card processing, researching and resolving outages.
- Accurate performance of card account maintenance requests.
- Coordinate issues to the correct system support, track for timely resolution and communicate to branch staff.
- Payment Research- to include unidentified payments, payment returns and payment reversal requests.
- Communication of errors reported by the bank to the branch staff to move the card applications forward (credit freezes, under 21 applicant requirement, additional paperwork for underwriting)

Your expertise
- Excellent communicator with a demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders, banking partners, and branch leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in banking operations, card operations, payments, and/or back-office processing within a regulated financial services environment.
- Proven leadership experience, including coaching/mentoring peers, leading workstreams, and driving accountability for timelines and outcomes.
- Strong risk and controls mindset with experience identifying operational risk, documenting procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound decisions under pressure, and escalate issues appropriately with clear recommendations.
- Advanced knowledge of card systems and transaction processing, including reconciliations, exception handling, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives (e.g., standardization, automation, KPI reporting) to improve quality, reduce risk, and enhance client/branch experience.
- Ability to work independently while providing day-to-day guidance and support to the broader team.
