Role Overview
The candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring electrical installation works at project sites. The role involves coordinating with civil, finishing, and MEP teams to ensure proper execution of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and associated electrical infrastructure as per project specifications and timelines.
The position will work closely with MEP Managers, Civil Execution Teams, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and quality electrical installations.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Works Execution
Supervise execution of electrical installation works including conduiting, cable laying, wiring, panel installation, and lighting systems.
Ensure electrical works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
Monitor daily electrical work progress and ensure timely completion of activities.
Coordination with Civil & Finishing Teams
Coordinate with civil execution and finishing teams for proper integration of electrical works during construction stages.
Ensure proper conduit installation before concreting and finishing works.
Resolve site coordination issues related to electrical services.
Subcontractor Supervision
Supervise electrical subcontractors and installation teams.
Ensure subcontractors follow approved methods, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Monitor labour productivity and progress of electrical works.
Quality Control
Ensure electrical installations comply with project specifications, electrical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct inspections for cable routing, panel installation, earthing systems, and electrical connections.
Identify defects and ensure proper rectification.
Material & Resource Management
Monitor usage and availability of electrical materials such as cables, conduits, switchgear, panels, and accessories.
Coordinate with procurement teams for timely supply of electrical materials.
Track material consumption and reduce wastage.
Testing & Commissioning Support
Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems including distribution panels, lighting systems, and earthing networks.
Coordinate with consultants and inspection authorities for approvals.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of electrical work progress, inspections, and testing reports.
Assist in quantity verification and measurements for billing purposes.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports related to electrical works.
Safety Compliance
Ensure electrical works are carried out in compliance with site safety standards and electrical safety regulations.
Monitor safe handling of electrical equipment and installation tools.
Technical Skills Required
Strong knowledge of electrical systems in high-rise building projects
Experience in conduit installation, cable laying, panel installation, and lighting systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards
Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD
Preferred Skills
Strong coordination with civil, finishing, and MEP teams
Good understanding of MEP execution sequencing in high-rise construction
Ability to manage electrical subcontractors and site teams
