Key Responsibilities: This position is responsible for co-leading the marketing strategy of Oncology with focus on oversight of marketing function of current assets, driving assessment and positioning of future pipeline assets, building future focused capabilities for the function including development of strategic account partnerships, patient and customer experience programs that drive growth, enhance brand presence and improve patient outcomes
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to advance the Myeloma portfolio while aligning with overall business objectives.
Business Insights & Intelligence: Focus on internal and external data sources, building a market model and insights channels to assure data driven decision at all levels to build the oncology business strategy
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the oncology sector.
Brand Management: Oversee brand strategy and positioning, ensuring that marketing initiatives and activities resonate with healthcare providers and patients.
Capability Building: Responsible for elevating the competitiveness and impact of Oncology team through a relentless focus on building account management capabilities, driving strategic partnerships and delivering on key performance metrics.
Strategic Partnerships: Expected to demonstrate commanding marketing-thought leadership and build strategic partnerships (society, hospital chains, lab partners etc) with diverse stakeholders externally and local, regional cross-functional teams to drive strategy, increase access and lead in therapy segments we operate in
Account Management Operations: Lead strategic Account Management operations along with sales field, reimburse account management team, medical and marketing to build account prioritization strategy and performance management
Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize outcomes
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, medical affairs, , market access, NPP to align product positioning and messaging across all channels, build launch readiness and market shaping interventions
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Work closely with Business Unit Head to develop and execute effective business plan focused on driving sales and market share growth and profitability. Deliver results through cross-functional collaborations with key business partners, including field sales organization and other key regional and global stakeholders.
Other responsibilities include fostering high-performance, talent development and contributing in building marketing competency
Required Qualifications & Key Competencies
Required Minimum Education: Advanced degree -MBA from a premium institute, Bachelors in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
Required Years of Related Experience: 8-10+ Years
Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years in progressive sales & marketing experience in pharmaceutical/biotech and/or medical devices, specifically in oncology. Experience in healthcare consulting, account management, patient experience, access strategy is a plus
Marketing Experience: A proven track record of marketing experiences including pharmaceutical marketing, social and digital marketing, brand equity building, data analytics, insights generation and agency management is required.
Sales Management Experience: At least 1 relevant sales management/account experience (DSM, RSM, or franchise). Experience in healthcare consulting, account management, patient experience, access strategy is a plus
People Management Experience: At least 1-2+ years of experience in people management.
Strategic Partnerships Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in identifying, driving and building strategic partnerships to shape the ecosystem and/or to elevate the brand equity
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and effectively manage cross-functional projects.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, utilizing market data to make informed marketing decisions.
Compliance Awareness: High level of compliance awareness.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior management to impact decision-making is required.
Outstanding and clear communication skills; ability to think strategically and analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and articulate solutions/recommendations clearly and concisely.
Strong project management skills and outstanding goal-setting/delivering specific, measurable objectives, strategies and measures
Strong analytical skills, logical structuring, ability to zoom in and zoom out to balance between short and long term. Advanced proficiency in excel and powerpoint with compelling articulative skills
Agile and able to adapt across range of situations, strong change management capabilities
Proactive, positive & innovative mind. Good inter-personal relationship.
Business and financial acumen
Language Proficiency: Functional proficiency in spoken and written English.
