What will you do?

Responsible for managing the procurement of software licenses, subscriptions, and IT solutions to support organizational needs. The role involves vendor management, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements. This includes procurement of Capex, Opex and Services

Areas Of Responsibility

• Manage end-to-end procurement of software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, cloud services, IT resources (T &M) and IT solutions from domestic and global vendors, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
• Perform spend analysis, cost modelling, benchmarking, and value engineering to develop effective negotiation strategies and drive cost optimization.
• Conduct cost comparison and analysis of Capex vs Opex models (on-premises vs cloud/subscription) to enable cost-effective procurement decisions.
• Handle procurement through RFQ/RFP processes, including Reverse Auction (RA) / Dutch Auction platforms for achieving competitive pricing.
• Ensure seamless execution of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including:
• PO creation and processing in SAP, Ivalua, and Metis systems
• Vendor onboarding, PO acknowledgment, and order tracking
• Contract management, subscription activation, and renewals
• Manage compliance audits, ensuring adherence to vendor agreements and avoiding penalties.
• Purchase and manage enterprise software licenses (Microsoft, SAP, VMware, Adobe, Oracle, security software, tools, etc.)
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (IT, security, finance, and business teams) to gather requirements and ensure timely procurement support.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, procurement policies, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  
  

Educational Qualification

• B.E. / B. Tech./BCom
• MBA in finance/Purchase / Logistics Operations / Supply Chain Management
  
  

Experience And Skills

• 8 to 10 years of experience in Non- Pharma Industry with Global Markets Exposure
• Strong knowledge of software licensing models (SaaS, subscription, perpetual) and cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Experience with Reverse Auction (RA) / Dutch Auction sourcing methodologies
• Hands-on experience in SAP, Ivalua, Metis for procurement operations
• Good understanding of:
• Global resource rates & pricing models
• Government taxes (GST, import duties if applicable)
• Currency exchange and international procurement
• Material codes and service codes (ERP classification)
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
• Ability to manage online procurement platforms and licensing portals
