Experience: 7 to 10 years

Location: Mumbai ( Candidate should be willing to relocate in future as per business need )
Reporting To: General Manager – Logistics
Role objective : To oversee and optimize end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and last-mile delivery, ensuring cost efficiency, service excellence, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Operations Management
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Monitor daily dispatch planning, route optimization, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee 3PL/4PL service providers and transporter performance.
- Warehouse & Distribution Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for inventory movement and dispatch readiness.
- Ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO and inventory accuracy.
- Handle coordination between multiple distribution centres and plants.
- Cost Optimization & Budget Control
- Analyse logistics costs (freight, warehousing, handling).
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency initiatives.
- Prepare and manage logistics budgets and forecasts.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with transporters, vendors, and logistics partners.
- Negotiate freight rates and service contracts.
- Collaborate with procurement, planning, sales, and finance teams.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track KPIs such as OTIF (On Time in Full), transit time, cost per ton/km, and delivery accuracy.
- Generate MIS reports and dashboards for management review.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (transport laws, GST, E-way bills).
- Implement safety standards in logistics and transportation.
- Handle audits and documentation requirements.
- Technology & Systems
- Use ERP/TMS/WMS systems for logistics planning and tracking.
- Drive digitalization and automation initiatives for better visibility and efficiency.
