JOB LOCATION: DADAR (MUMBAI)

LEGAL MANAGER - 2 NOS

Key Responsibilities

  • Real Estate & Property Matters
  • Coordinate for title due diligence, land acquisition checks, and property investigations.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and execute sale deeds, lease deeds, development agreements, joint venture agreements, MOUs, and conveyance documents.
  • Handle documentation related to commercial leasing, retail leasing, commercial properties, and mixed-use developments.
  • Compliance with stamp duty, registration laws, zoning regulations, land revenue laws, and local municipal laws.
  • Ensurr RERA compliances
  • Hospitality & Operational Contracts
  • Co-ordinate and execution of Hotel Management Agreements (HMA), Franchise Agreements, Brand Licensing Agreements, and Operator Agreements.
  • Handle F&B contracts, vendor agreements, outsourcing contracts, and event agreements.
  • Review agreements with OTAs, travel agents, corporate clients, and service providers.
  • Advise on hospitality-specific regulations, licenses, and compliance requirements.
  • Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Handle and oversee litigation related to property disputes, tenant matters, consumer cases, RERA matters, NCLT, arbitration, Writ matters, contractual disputes, and labor issues.
  • Coordinate with external counsels, advocates and law firms; review pleadings, affidavits, and legal strategies.
  • Represent the company before courts, tribunals, RERA authorities, consumer forums, and government bodies when required.
  • Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with RERA, local municipal laws, land revenue laws, Shops & Establishments Act, excise laws, FSSAI, tourism regulations, and environmental laws.
  • Manage renewals and compliance of licenses such as trade licenses, liquor licenses, health licenses, fire safety approvals, and pollution control approvals.
  • Monitor changes in laws affecting real estate and hospitality sectors and advise management accordingly.
  • Corporate & Commercial Legal Support
  • Draft and review construction contracts, EPC contracts, consultancy agreements, Service Level Agreement (SLAs), and vendor contracts.
  • Support corporate governance matters, board resolutions, and statutory filings in coordination with Company Secretaries and finance teams.
  • Handle legal notices, claims, legal opinions, and responses to regulatory authorities.
  • Risk Management & Advisory
  • Identify legal risks in projects and hotel operations and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Provide proactive legal advice to management and business teams.
  • Maintain legal MIS, case trackers, contract repositories, and compliance calendars.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of property law, contract law, RERA, civil procedures, and local regulations.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical skills and litigation management skills.
  • Commercially sound legal judgment with a business-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work closely with business, project, and finance teams.
  • Strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • LLB (mandatory); LLM preferred.
  • Enrolled with Bar Council preferred.
  • Prior experience in real estate developers or law firms handling these sectors is highly desirable
  • Salary range will be 8 LPA to 9 LPA.
  • Work Experience : 3–5 years (Real Estate / Property Law).
