Lead - Civil Engineer

Job Description

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented Lead Civil Engineer to join our dedicated team at our office in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad locations.

Position Responsibilities

• Function as lead engineer for medium-sized project - 3000-6000MH
• Apply a thorough knowledge of principles, practices, methods, and advanced concepts in the area of Civil /
• Structural engineering.
• Perform initial project planning, establish project scope and design criteria, interface with internal clients and stakeholders, coordinate with participating disciplines, and support
• projects through construction and close-out.
• Prepare scopes of work and enquiries, proposals for outside consultants /PEB contractors.
• Lead efforts to evaluate and select consultants/PEB contractors, and direct and review their work.
• Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments, which may include
• engineering inspections, studies, final design, and technical consultation.
• Assign tasks to and direct the work of support engineers, designers, drafters, and technicians.
• Prepare budgets and schedules for assignments.
• Assist Lead Manager/Manager in all areas.
• Ensure all quality checks are made before issuing the drawings for construction.
• Conduct site visits to understand project issues and resolve them.
• Review outside consultants / PEB Contractor's design/drawings.
• Monitor/analyze team members' work hours for each project.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.E.( civil ) with minimum 10 years experience in design of industrial structures like process buildings, warehouses, equipment foundations, substations, pipe racks, non-plant buildings, etc.
• Proficiency in the use of standard structural packages like StaadPro, Etabs, RCDC, Safe, etc.
• Mastery over relevant Indian codes. Familiarity with Eurocodes will be an advantage.
• Ability to function as Lead Engineer for medium-sized project ( 4000-6000 Civil MH ) and supervise teams of up to 6 people.
• Proficient in the use of relevant software like StaadPro, Etabs, RCDC, etc.
