Lead Architect

Job Description

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented Lead Architect to join our dedicated team at our office in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad locations.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead complex architectural projects from initial concept through construction, ensuring alignment with client vision and business goals.
• Effectively manages large and multiple projects and programs.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct quality control, and oversee the production of design development and construction documents, ensuring code compliance and constructability.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams, presenting proposals and managing expectations.
• Mentor junior architects and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high standards.
• Ensure designs meet all safety, sustainability, and regulatory standards, using BIM and other tools effectively.
• Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and risk for large-scale projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's in Architecture (B-Arch) or Master's in Architecture (M-Arch).
• Licensed Architect (Council of Architecture, etc.).
• 12+ years in architectural design, with proven experience leading complex projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Visualization tools (like Twin Motion, Photoshop, etc.), SketchUp, MS Office, etc.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Deep understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability principles (LEED, IGBC, etc.).
• Has a high level of theoretical and practical Architectural/technical understanding and a record of successfully combining them to solve complex problems.
