CollegePass is hiring an experienced Ivy League Admissions Advisor to personally guide students applying to Ivy League and other highly selective US universities.

You will work directly with students and parents on academic planning, profile development, university selection, application strategy and essays. We are looking for someone who combines informed admissions judgement with strong writing skills, thoughtful student mentoring and dependable execution.

This is a hands-on admissions-delivery role with direct responsibility for students and their applications.

Key Responsibilities

Student Assessment and Admissions Strategy

• Assess each student’s academic record, curriculum, interests, activities, achievements and aspirations.
• Develop an individual advising plan with clear priorities, milestones and deadlines.
• Help students explore intended majors and understand how their academic and extracurricular choices support their interests.
• Set realistic expectations while encouraging ambition and informed decision-making.

Profile Development

• Guide students towards meaningful activities, projects, research, competitions and leadership opportunities suited to their interests and circumstances.
• Help students deepen existing commitments and demonstrate initiative, contribution and intellectual curiosity.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans according to school workload, development and application timelines.
• Maintain accurate, authentic records of students’ activities and achievements.

University Selection and Application Planning

• Build balanced university lists based on academic fit, intended major, preferences, affordability and admissions selectivity.
• Advise on Early Decision, Early Action, Restrictive Early Action and Regular Decision options, including applicable restrictions.
• Research and verify current requirements, testing policies, deadlines and programme-specific components.
• Coordinate school documents, recommendations, portfolios and other application materials where required.

Essays and Written Applications

• Guide brainstorming and provide substantive feedback on personal statements and supplemental essays.
• Help students communicate their experiences, motivations and perspectives clearly while preserving their authorship and voice.
• Review activities, honours and additional-information sections for clarity, accuracy and consistency.
• Check coherence across the application so that different components contribute useful information.

Student and Parent Relationships

• Conduct structured advising meetings with clear actions and follow-up.
• Communicate progress, concerns and upcoming decisions to parents professionally.
• Help students manage uncertainty, competing priorities and application pressure.
• Handle disagreements thoughtfully while supporting student ownership and maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Application Execution and Quality Assurance

• Maintain accurate meeting notes, task trackers and application calendars.
• Identify missed milestones early and implement practical recovery plans.
• Review applications for completeness, factual consistency and compliance with university requirements.
• Ensure students review and approve their materials before submission.
• Track outcomes and use case reviews to improve advising practice.

What We Are Looking For

• Direct experience advising US undergraduate applicants through complete application cycles.
• A demonstrable record of personally supporting applications to Ivy League or other highly selective US universities.
• Strong understanding of holistic admissions, academic preparation, profile development and application strategy.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong essay-review skills.
• Familiarity with Common App and the requirements of students studying IBDP, A Levels, CBSE, ISC or comparable curricula.
• Ability to build credibility with parents and productive relationships with teenagers.
• Strong research habits, attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
• Willingness to personally manage advising, essay feedback, documentation and deadlines.

Candidates should be able to explain their individual contribution to reported admissions outcomes. No particular degree subject is required.

This role has no sales targets or lead-conversion responsibilities.

Work Days and Hybrid Schedule

• Working days: Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 AM–8:00 PM IST.
• Tuesday–Friday: Working from home.
• Saturday: Working from the Mumbai office.
• Weekly off: Sunday and Monday.

Candidates must be based in Mumbai by joining and available to attend the office every Saturday.

Selection Process

Shortlisted applicants may complete a live student-profile assessment, university-selection discussion and essay-review exercise. Candidates may also be asked to substantiate their experience and outcomes while protecting student confidentiality.
