Primary Responsibilities

This role is based out of Mumbai and responsible for supporting the New York team by managing vendor communications, AUM/volume computations, payments coordination, documentation workflows, and recurring reporting. The position works closely with multiple New York based teams and external index vendors, and will help build a scalable, centralised licensing model.

The role needs to carry all communications related to index AUM, payments with vendor and within the firm with Trading, Sales, Strats and Accounts Payable.

Job Description

AUM, Volume & Fee Computation

  • Perform monthly and quarterly Index AUM and volume calculations using Python scripts, internal tools, and web calculators.
  • Validate computed volumes and reconcile with Sales/Trading before submission to vendors.
  • Maintain repository of all live indices and ensure regular clean-up of no AUM indices.

Licensing Operations & Vendor Coordination

  • Act as the primary liaison for index licensing and vendor workflows, coordinating with index providers, Sales, Trading, Strats and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Manage vendor communication related to AUM submissions, volume clarifications, invoicing, and payment queries.
  • Set up new vendors in internal systems and ensure correct wire/payment instructions reach Accounts Payable.
  • Work closely with stakeholders (Sales, Trading, Legal, DSP, Account Payable, Strats, Finance) to ensure the end‑to‑end licensing process runs smoothly.

Agreement & Documentation Management

  • Maintain a central repository of all index agreements; ensure regular cleanup of outdated/no‑AUM indices.
  • Coordinate with Legal/BURM to ensure agreements are routed, reviewed, and signed on time.
  • Support Structuring/Sales by providing documentation and helping onboard new index agreements tied to new trades.

Payments, Invoicing & Budgeting

  • Ensure timely vendor payments, following agreement terms and internal AP workflows.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and assist in annual budgeting for index licensing costs.
  • Generate client invoices for pass‑through fees where applicable.

Reporting, Governance & Tracking

  • Produce regular dashboards summarizing AUM, volumes, fees, and license‑usage metrics.
  • Track pending agreements, payment cycles, expiries, and vendor onboarding status.
  • Provide periodic updates to Business CFO/IED leadership on licensing workflows.

In‑house Automation & Workflow Efficiency

  • Automate recurring tasks using Python, VBA, Excel macros, and Power Query.
  • Collaborate with Strats/Tech to build workflow tools and improve process efficiency.
  • Support creation of SharePoint tracking tools, templates, and dashboards.

Skills Required (essential)

  • MBA or CA with 3 to 6 years of experience in Accounting, cost budgeting, accruals, managing expenses, profile before tax, computing volume, working on dashboard
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Good knowledge of Python, VBA, Excel macros, and Power Query
