Job Description

A high-acuity provider in the hospital & healthcare sector delivering tertiary-level intensive and critical care services across India. We operate 24/7 in adult and mixed medical–surgical ICUs, managing complex organ support, sepsis care, and perioperative critical care pathways. Primary job title (best-performing on platforms): Critical Care Registrar.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct on‑site intensive care: assess, stabilise, and manage critically ill patients across medical, surgical and post‑operative settings.
  • Manage advanced organ support: initiate and titrate mechanical ventilation, vasopressors/inotropes, renal replacement therapy coordination, and invasive monitoring.
  • Perform common ICU procedures: place central venous catheters and arterial lines, assist with bedside procedures and ensure procedure‑related safety and documentation.
  • Lead daily ICU rounds and handovers with multidisciplinary teams, communicate clear escalation plans and contribute to family discussions about goals of care.
  • Implement sepsis bundles, infection control measures and evidence‑based protocols to reduce complications and improve outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in the hospital EMR, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

  • ACLS
  • Mechanical ventilation
  • Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)
  • Central venous catheterisation
  • Arterial line insertion
  • Invasive hemodynamic monitoring

Preferred

  • ECMO familiarity
  • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
  • Advanced hemodynamic monitoring platforms (e.g., PiCCO)

Qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification with postgraduate training or in‑service experience in Anaesthesia, General Medicine, Pulmonology or Critical Care.
  • Registration with the relevant State Medical Council / National Medical Commission (NMC) and valid clinical practising licence.
  • Prior hands‑on ICU experience in a tertiary or high‑dependency setting and demonstrated competency in emergency critical care procedures.
