Role Overview

The HR Executive – Employee Engagement & Associate Experience is a key culture ambassador at Fairmont Mumbai Hotel & Resorts. The role is designed to curate an exceptional associate journey by creating meaningful engagement moments, elevating staff welfare, and nurturing a refined, inclusive, and high-touch work environment aligned with luxury and lifestyle hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Luxury Associate Experience & Engagement

  • Design and deliver curated associate engagement experiences including lifestyle events, wellness initiatives, cultural celebrations, and signature Fairmont moments.
  • Drive associate recognition programs, service milestones, and luxury-led appreciation initiatives that reinforce pride, purpose, and belonging.
  • Partner with department heads to embed engagement into daily operations and elevate the associate experience.
  • Conduct engagement surveys, listening sessions, and pulse checks; translate insights into impactful action plans.

Staff Welfare & Well-being

  • Champion holistic associate well-being covering physical, mental, emotional, and social wellness.
  • Oversee premium staff welfare initiatives including medical insurance coordination, wellness partnerships, and employee assistance programs.
  • Ensure high standards of associate facilities such as dining, lockers, accommodation, transport, and uniforms in line with luxury hospitality expectations.
  • Provide compassionate support to associates during medical, personal, or emergency situations.

Culture, Values & Employee Relations

  • Act as a culture custodian, promoting Fairmont values, luxury service ethos, and inclusive workplace practices.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for associates, addressing concerns with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Support grievance handling, counseling, and conflict resolution while maintaining confidentiality and fairness.

HR Operations & Brand Alignment

  • Support seamless onboarding and immersive inductions that reflect Fairmont’s luxury and lifestyle identity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to engagement, welfare, and associate experience metrics.
  • Assist with HR audits, compliance, and brand-aligned HR initiatives.
  • Contribute to pre-opening or transformation projects, embedding lifestyle and luxury standards from day one.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
  • High emotional intelligence with a guest-and-associate-first mindset
  • Strong event curation and engagement design capability
  • Discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a luxury, fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Human Resources, Psychology, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • 2–4 years of HR or associate engagement experience, preferably in luxury or lifestyle hospitality
  • Exposure to pre-opening hotels or international brands is an advantage
