Were scaling fast across
London, Mumbai, and Austin – and were now looking for a
Head of Quality Engineering to join our
Tech Senior Leadership Team to support the
growth of the business by embedding quality across our software, data and ML delivery.
Ready to make your mark? Let’s go! 🚀
The Role:
At Fospha, speed and quality aren’t trade-offs — they’re the same thing. Our goal is singular: to make “ship with confidence” a repeatable, programmatic reality. As Head of Quality Engineering, you’ll own the end-to-end quality strategy across our evolving platform — a complex environment spanning sophisticated data pipelines, production ML models, and GenAI-powered interfaces.
This is a high-impact leadership role reporting to the CTO, with a global remit across our UK and India teams. You’ll architect and drive our next-generation quality framework, combining automation, observability, and process design to radically reduce time-to-production while maintaining exceptional reliability.
You’ll work closely with peers in Product, Data Science and Engineering to embed quality thinking across the SDLC — from CI/CD to non-deterministic UI validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and embed a unified QA strategy across software, data and ML pipelines — building on existing frameworks to drive measurable improvements in speed, quality and delivery confidence.
- Architect and execute systemic quality interventions — using real-time data and deep organisational observation to identify bottlenecks and rework process, tooling and team structures.
- Advance quality in GenAI-powered interfaces — pioneering validation strategies for conversational and emergent UIs where traditional testing is insufficient.
- Lead and grow a distributed QA team — evolving the current team into a global centre of excellence, embedding Quality Engineering expertise across all delivery teams.
- Own and communicate QA metrics — defining and reporting on speed, quality, rework and schedule achievement to drive visibility and strategic decision-making across the SLT.
- In addition to your core responsibilities, we expect you to be excited by the opportunity Gen AI brings and find new ways of working utilising our Gen AI hub!
What are we looking for?
We hire for potential – you should apply if you:
- Have senior leadership experience scaling QA or Quality Engineering functions, ideally across multiple geographies.
- Can drive transformation from traditional QA to developer-owned Quality Engineering and continuous delivery.
- Bring deep technical mastery in automation frameworks, data quality engineering, and ML validation.
- Understand how to validate GenAI-powered systems — including prompt resilience, output coherence, and model drift.
- Retain hands-on credibility — able to advise on tooling, review architecture, and guide senior engineers.
Our Values and Principles:
You will be able to demonstrate examples of our core principles:
- Seek inclusion & diversity: We create an environment where everyone feels welcome, and people are encouraged to speak and be heard.
- Work Hard, Work Well, Work Together: We take responsibility for making things happen, independently and together; we help colleagues in need and close loops, making sure our work is complete and has lasting impact.
- Grow: We are proactive, curious and unafraid of failure.
- Customer at the heart: We care about the customer, feel their pain and love building product that solves their biggest problems.
- Candour with caring: We deliver candid feedback with kindness and receive it with gratitude.
