About Our Client
Our client is a well-established, diversified Indian business group with interests across manufacturing-led businesses and strategic assets. Operating in a promoter-driven environment, the organization is focused on accelerating growth, improving operational excellence, and strengthening governance frameworks across its portfolio companies.
Job Description
Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Managing Director across multiple businesses.
Serve as the strategic interface between promoters, business heads, leadership teams, and operating units.
Lead business governance processes and drive accountability across group companies.
Conduct periodic operational and performance reviews on behalf of the Managing Director.
Consolidate, analyze, and interpret business, operational, and financial data to provide actionable insights.
Simplify complex business issues and present them in a structured manner to facilitate decision-making.
Drive closure of strategic initiatives and follow up on key action items across businesses.
Play an active role in Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, budgeting, and performance management.
Monitor business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
Build and maintain executive dashboards tracking operational, financial, and strategic KPIs.
Review capital expenditure, operational expenditure, and technology investment proposals.
Support manufacturing operations through performance reviews, process improvement, and operational governance.
Work closely with business leaders to improve supply chain effectiveness, procurement efficiency, and inventory management.
Evaluate land and real estate assets for monetization, restructuring, and value-creation opportunities.
Support audit, compliance, governance, safety, and statutory initiatives across business units.
Drive transformation, operational excellence, automation, and growth-focused strategic projects.
Represent the Managing Director while interacting with CXOs, plant leadership teams, and operational stakeholders.
Travel across business locations as required to ensure effective review and execution.
The Successful Applicant
18-25+ years of professional experience with a strong manufacturing background.
Experience working directly with a CEO, Managing Director, COO, Promoter's Office, or similar leadership office.
Demonstrated success in driving execution, governance, and cross-functional initiatives.
Strong exposure to manufacturing operations, shop-floor environments, and operational KPIs.
Prior experience in automotive, industrial, engineering, or related manufacturing sectors is preferred.
Consulting experience from reputed consulting firms is advantageous.
Exposure to business transformation, turnaround situations, or high-growth environments is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of AOP planning, budgeting, business reviews, and performance management.
Experience in project execution rather than purely analytical or reporting-focused roles.
Exposure to real estate transactions, land assets, divestments, or investment evaluations will be beneficial.
Excellent communication skills with clarity of thought and executive presence.
Ability to communicate effectively with both senior leadership teams and frontline operational stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities.
Stable career history with compelling reasons for transitions between roles.
Engineering degree preferred; postgraduate management qualification would be advantageous.
What's on Offer
Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
Broad mandate covering strategy, governance, operations, manufacturing, and asset management.
Opportunity to shape business outcomes across multiple group companies.
Significant visibility with promoters and board-level stakeholders.
Clear pathway to larger leadership opportunities within the group over time.
