The General Manager Process Excellence will be responsible for driving business growth, managing transformations, and innovating for commercialization. Additionally, the role entails overseeing strategic initiatives and orchestrating complex processes across multiple projects, shaping organizational growth, and contributing to achieving Earnings Before Interest and Taxes targets (EBIT) targets.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Optimization
Optimize the delivery of ongoing business operations, promote cost savings, and boost KPIs for VFS and its clientele, including enhancing support functions.
Scrutinize and strategize process models in the context of specific business scenarios.
Achieve financial and non-financial transformation objectives.
Utilize Lean Six Sigma, advanced analytics, and digital transformation to transition from the current state to an effective future model with clear timelines and financial objectives.
Business Expansion and Development
Support business expansion and development initiatives by crafting value-added proposals for new business opportunities, leveraging our transformation framework to create a plan focused on minimizing total cost of ownership and optimizing KPIs.
Foster growth by proactively identifying opportunities to deliver additional value to clients and expand existing relationships.
Align with VFSs global goals to establish and deliver new transformation-led offerings, especially in Value Added Services.
Industry and Process Evaluation
Evaluate industry benchmarks and best practices for integration.
Structure complex challenges, develop analytical approaches, and provide recommendations for implementing client solutions.
Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to recognize critical business issues.
Project Coordination and Implementation
Coordinate the implementation of transformation projects and proposals across all VFS regions, ensuring the global adoption of best practices.
Establish a framework to measure the effective global deployment of transformation initiatives and projects across VFS Global.
Collaborate with regional and functional heads to ensure transformation practices adhere to regulatory requirements.
Team Management & Succession Planning
Demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to lead diverse teams productively.
Ensure the professional development of the team and provide necessary training.
Create and maintain a robust talent pipeline to ensure succession planning (1:2 ratio).
Environment, Social & Governance
Oversee corporate governance within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with organisational principles, policies, and regulations.
Promote judicious use of natural resources and adhere to the organisations environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines.
Drive the organisations sustainability initiatives, working towards achieving established targets.
Anti Bribery Management Systems (ABMS)
Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities details as prescribed on the ABMS manual.
Understanding of ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices.
Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts. For more detailed explanation, follow the ABMS manual.
Education
Postgraduate degree or its global equivalent in a relevant field.
Experience
10 – 15 years of professional experience in Retail/ ITES/ BPO/ Travel/ hospitality industry, with at least 5 years in a similar or senior management role.
