What you will do

To develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and user-friendly web applications for tesa’s global websites and customer platforms, using a custom CMS built on Symfony, with integrated DevOps and automated testing practices.

Principal Accountabilities / Main Functions

  • Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components of tesa’s global websites and customer platforms.
  • Extend and optimize the custom CMS based on Symfony for multi-country content management.
  • Implement responsive and accessible UI components using HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript.
  • Design and integrate APIs for customer data, product information, and collaboration features.
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and security of web applications.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar.
  • Implement automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) using PHPUnit, Cypress, or similar tools.
  • Monitor application health and performance using tools like New Relic, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Document technical solutions and contribute to platform architecture decisions.


Functional Responsibility

Technical ownership of web platform development, CMS enhancements, and deployment processes in close collaboration with the Product Owner. Steer external suppliers and establishment of developer guidelines.

What you will need

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Engineering, or related field.
  • Preferred: Symfony Certification or equivalent PHP framework experience.


Relevant experience

  • 3–5 years in full stack web development.
  • Strong experience with Symfony, PHP, JavaScript (Vue.js or similar), HTML5, SCSS.
  • Experience with CMS development and multi-language/multi-country websites.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, Composer, Webpack, and MySQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure).
