The organisation is a reputable financial consultancy within the financial services industry. It operates as a medium-sized company with a focus on delivering exceptional advisory services to its clients.

Job Description

Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with FEMA, IBA standards and applicable regulations.
Advise internal teams on legal implications of financial services transactions.
Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for prospective deals.
Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with transactions.
Collaborate with external legal counsel when required.
Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes impacting the financial services industry.
Provide support in dispute resolution and litigation matters, if necessary.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelors degree in law (LLB) from a recognized university
Masters degree or additional professional certifications in law will be a plus
8+ years of experience in banking transactions, preferably from the borrower side
Law firm experience is mandatory
Exposure to M&A and General Corporate Advisory is preferred
