We're looking for a sharp, numbers fluent Finance Executive to effectively manage the finances of the Firm - someone who owns billing, invoicing, expenses, and reporting end-to-end. This is a high-ownership, high-trust role, not a back-office admin function.

Resolüt Partners is a boutique law firm with approximately 20 lawyers across offices in Mumbai (BKC) and New Delhi. The firm's practice spans disputes and international arbitration, corporate/PE/M&A, and cross-border transactions, acting for clients that include private equity funds, infrastructure companies, and financial institutions. The firm works primarily with international clients, so accuracy, discretion, and professionalism matter in every number that goes out the door.

The role

You'll be the person who knows exactly where every rupee stands, chases what's outstanding before anyone has to ask, and gives leadership clean, reliable numbers to make decisions on. The firm's statutory books are handled by external accountants; you'll be the sharp, dependable interface between that relationship. You won't be expected to have all the answers - but you will be expected to ask the right questions rather than guess, and to speak up when something doesn't add up. You will be reporting directly to the firm’s partners and working closely with the lawyers as a core member of the team.

What you'll look at

• Weekly and monthly billing reports, tracked end-to-end
• Raising and following up on client invoices, and liaising directly with clients on invoice and billing-related matters
• Tracking and reconciling reimbursements across the office, flagging discrepancies before they become someone else's problem
• Collating internal team time-spent reports and translating them into billing-ready data
• Owning budgets, cash flow tracking, and financial forecasts, presented in clean, well-organised manner
• The relationship with the firm's external accountants - managing reconciliations, statutory filings, and reports
• Vendor coordination and payment tracking, ensuring timely settlements and accurate records
• Building and maintaining MIS reports/dashboards that give leadership a real-time view of billing, collections, and expenses
• Escalating unresolved issues rather than letting them sit - if a number won't reconcile or a response is overdue, you follow up until it's closed out

What good looks like

Within your first few months, leadership should be able to hand you a number, a report, or a half-formed financial question and trust that it comes back accurate, on time, and without having to chase you - though you'll never hesitate to ask a question upfront rather than guess and get it wrong. You'll be someone who catches a billing error before it reaches a client, keeps collections and reimbursements tight, and can present numbers to leadership with the clarity and confidence of someone running the finance function, not just supporting it.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• A driven, detail-obsessed self-starter with strong ownership instincts
• Mathematical and financial fluency, including comfort working across invoicing, reconciliations, and budgets
• Comfortable asking questions - you'd rather clarify upfront than guess and get it wrong
• Prior experience in billing, accounts, or finance operations (law firm, professional services, or corporate finance background preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients
• High level of discretion, given exposure to sensitive financial and client billing data
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Compensation

• Fully dependent on experience - indicative range of INR 50,000 - 80,000 per month
• Aptitude and ownership matter more than years on a resume
• For candidates moving from a current role, the offer will typically be up to a 10% increment on existing salary
• Our salary revisions are based on performance, and right candidates can expect to grow at the firm's pace
• This role has a clear path to grow into greater financial ownership and responsibility as you prove yourself
