Job Title: Finance Business Partner – Support Functions Analyst

Job Purpose
As a Finance Analyst for support functions, you will play a critical role in providing financial insight and support to the Support Function divisions (such as HR, Legal, Marketing, and other corporate functions). This role will focus on managing and optimising overhead costs, ensuring resources are deployed effectively to support business objectives.
You will also support the Tech division by providing financial oversight on investment in product development and capital expenditure (Capex) projects. Working closely with the Support Functions Finance Business Partner and the wider finance team, you will help drive informed decision-making through accurate reporting, analysis, and business partnering.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Business Partner to provide clear financial insights on overhead spend to the functional leaders, ensuring costs are managed effectively and aligned with business priorities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes for Support Functions and Tech investment areas.
- Monitor and track investment in technology, with a focus on product development spend and Capex projects, ensuring appropriate business cases and return-on-investment evaluations.
- Support in preparing monthly management reporting, including variance analysis, commentary, and actionable recommendations.
- Perform deep-dive analysis on overhead cost trends, risks, and opportunities to support cost efficiency and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, scenario planning, and investment appraisal.
- Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to provide clear, accurate, and timely financial information for decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining reporting processes and leveraging automation where possible.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (or part-qualified) in ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is desirable.
- Experienced individual with 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, analysis, accounting or business partnering in a similar role
- Advanced Excel skills are essential (pivot tables, lookups, macros, data modelling etc).
- Strong ability to analyse large volumes of financial data from ERP/finance systems
- Exposure to Power BI, SAP, NetSuite, OneStream, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly.
- Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
