Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Fabric Merchandiser to manage fabric sourcing, vendor coordination, and production follow-ups. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely procurement of quality fabrics aligned with production and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure fabrics as per design and production requirements
• Coordinate with fabric vendors, mills, and suppliers for sampling and bulk orders
• Ensure timely delivery of fabrics to meet production timelines
• Monitor fabric quality, approvals, and testing standards
• Maintain records of fabric inventory, consumption, and costing
• Work closely with design, production, and quality teams
• Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships
• Track order status and resolve any delays or discrepancies
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Fashion, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in fabric merchandising or sourcing
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and sourcing processes
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting
• Ability to handle multiple vendors and deadlines
  
  

• Experience in apparel manufacturing/export houses
• Understanding of fabric testing and quality standards
• Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities
