What you will do
The Enterprise Content & Application Platform Specialist is responsible for operating, supporting, and continuously improving key enterprise‑wide platforms:
- the d.3 Document Management & Archiving System,
- the tesaApps Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environment,
- the Canon uniFLOW Secure Print solution,
- And others.
The role ensures stable, secure, and compliant operations while collaborating with business units, managing vendors, supporting major platform transitions, and driving technical optimization.
What you will need
Document Management & Archiving (d.3)
- Strong understanding of DMS / archiving platforms and document lifecycles
- Experience with metadata, indexing, retention policies, and compliance‑driven archiving strategies
- Ability to configure, operate, and troubleshoot application, OS, and database layers
- Experience with Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server environments (especially those used by d.3 )
Remote Desktop Services (RDS / tesaApps)
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft RDS infrastructures, session hosts, user profiles, and application publishing
- Experience deploying, testing, and validating applications in multi‑user environments
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across OS, network, and application levels
- Windows Server lifecycle management and patching (2016 → 2019 migration experience beneficial)
Secure Print Solutions (Canon uniFLOW)
- Understanding of global secure printing infrastructures and follow‑me printing concepts
- Experience with escalations, updates, release validation, and cross‑site coordination
- Knowledge of integration, security, and print workflow governance
Operational & Administrative Skills
- Hands‑on operation of enterprise platforms ensuring availability, stability, performance, and compliance
- Strong change management discipline: patching cycles, upgrades, rollback planning
- Monitoring, capacity planning, and system health analysis across platforms
- Ability to maintain runbooks, knowledge bases, and structured documentation (KEDB)
Business Engagement & Consulting
- Ability to act as liaison between IT and business units for requirement gathering and solution design
- Provide best‑practice guidance on document management, remote application delivery, and printing processes
- Deliver end‑user training and create quick guides or user‑facing documentation
Vendor, Contract & Stakeholder Management
- Experience coordinating with external service providers (d.velop, Canon, Bechtle, RDS vendors)
- Ability to manage vendor escalations and follow through until resolution
- Familiarity with SLAs, renewals, scope reviews, and procurement processes
Project Management Capabilities
- Experience driving major platform migrations (e.g., DMS → SharePoint, RDS OS upgrades, print service transitions)
- Ability to define migration strategy, timelines, dependencies, and risk mitigation
- Strong coordination skills across internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors
Continuous Improvement Mindset
- Ability to identify automation opportunities (e.g., PowerShell for RDS)
- Experience analyzing tickets, incidents, and performance data to drive improvements
- Keeping up with platform enhancements, vendor roadmaps, and new features across d.3, RDS, uniFLOW
