Job Description

What you will do

  • Architect what scales globally. Design end‑to‑end, enterprise‑grade architectures that align with tesa’s global business strategy, governance principles, and operating model.
  • Own and evolve enterprise blueprints. Maintain and continuously refine architecture models across business, application, data, and technology layers, ensuring global consistency and reusability.
  • Translate requirements into secure, efficient designs. Engage with stakeholders across regions to convert business and non‑functional requirements into globally consistent architectural designs.
  • Guide technology evolution. Evaluate and recommend technologies that increase performance, resilience, and interoperability—with Azure as the primary cloud platform.
  • Ensure compliance by design. Embed security, compliance, and regulatory standards into architectures from the outset, strengthening global governance and risk control.
  • Lead through delivery. Provide architectural leadership to global and regional IT initiatives, ensuring consistent application of standards and safeguarding architectural integrity end‑to‑end.
  • Proactively de‑risk. Identify potential architectural risks early (scalability, data quality, integration, cost, resilience), propose mitigations, and ensure governance through implementation.
  • Work as part of the global governance team. Collaborate daily with the Enterprise Architect at HQ to drive a unified global architecture vision, principles, patterns, and guardrails for all of tesa.

What you will need

  • Experience & expertise. 8–12+ years in enterprise or solution architecture with a track record of shaping complex IT landscapes in global organizations.
  • Architecture methods & modeling. Strong knowledge of EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and architecture modeling; disciplined in maintaining clear, consumable architecture artifacts.
  • Tooling discipline. Proficiency in LeanIX as the central EA repository and transparency layer.
  • Cloud proficiency. Hands‑on experience designing modern architectures on Microsoft Azure (cloud-native services, integration patterns, security, cost governance).
  • Security mindset. Familiarity with secure design principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks (e.g., identity management, least privilege, data governance).
  • Integration & data thinking. Understanding of data governance, APIs, events, integration patterns, and data platform foundations.
  • Global delivery collaboration. Experience working across regions and time zones, influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Soft skills that make the difference:
    • Excellent communication across business and technical audiences
    • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
    • Proactive, structured, and solution‑oriented working style
    • High ownership and ability to drive alignment across organizational boundaries

Nice to have

  • Experience in Global Capability Centers (GCC) or global IT governance setups.
  • Exposure to multi-vendor delivery landscapes and federated IT organizations.

How you’ll work

  • Influence and co‑drive global architecture decisions together with the HQ Enterprise Architect.
  • Provide guardrails, patterns, and decision frameworks used across tesa’s regions and product teams.
  • Support global transparency and data quality in LeanIX as the single EA source of truth.
  • Drive consistency across solutions delivered from India and the rest of the globe.

What success looks like (first 6–12 months)

  • A well‑maintained, globally aligned architecture baseline in LeanIX.
  • Clear, adopted global reference architectures and reusable patterns.
  • Early, structured architectural involvement that reduces delivery risks.
  • Strong partnership between India and HQ, with visible contribution to global governance.

Education & certifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Certifications (TOGAF, Azure Architect, SAFe Architect) are a plus.
