Job Description

Manage the Submarine cable system power feed equipment (PFE), transmission equipment (SLTE), line monitoring equipment (LME) and network management system (NMS) maintenance (Planned and unplanned) operations and repairs under the procedures, which are defined in the JSMD.
Coordinate in conjunction with the NOC and ITMC Team for all associated activities and obligations of submarine cable landing station, as agreed with the submarine cable system owners.
Observe activities to ensure compliance with suppliers’ operational procedures and SHG telecommunications regulations.
Act as the first Level escalation point and handle all related submarine cable system network faults.
Support, proactively manage and monitor the submarine cable system network, Analyze and diagnose complex networking problems, identify issues and faults in conjunction with the NOC.
Liaise with NOC and ITMC teams to manage and clear both network and customer faults as required.
Liaise with vendors when required to ensure the efficient operation of the cable system network.
Ensure compliance with the system cable system agreed regulatory obligations, which relates to matters such as site access, site visits, views of visitor logs, and preparation of reports.
Escalate where necessary both internally and externally any operational issues to meet its Service Level Obligation (SLA) and Agreements.
Be available on site during normal business hours and available on a call out basis at all times, as stipulated in the Service and Capacity Level Service Agreements.
Take responsibility of your own development in order to keep job knowledge updated.
