Job Description

WWF-India is one of the largest organisations in India, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation, for over 50 years. We invite applications for the position of Education & Outreach Officer in our Mumbai office.

TheEducation & Outreach Officerwill play a key role in implementing WWF-India’s environmental education and corporate engagement programmes in Maharashtra. The role involves strengthening school and citizen outreach, managing programme delivery, and supporting corporate volunteering and awareness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Engagement & Nature Connect
  • Conceptualizing and executing Corporate Connect initiatives.
  • Develop an annual corporate engagement calendar.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate CSR/HR teams.
  • Manage event logistics, participant communication, and feedback.
  • Environment Education & Outreach
  • Support outreach of ongoing programmes: Vasundhara Mitra, Mangrove Mitra, Nature Connect, People for Planet.
  • Liaise with schools, educators, volunteers, and NGOs.
  • Coordinate workshops, eco-trails, webinars, and awareness events.
  • Monitor programme progress and maintain documentation.
  • Support training and orientation for educators, master trainers, and volunteers.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
  • Maintain databases for corporates, schools and volunteers.
  • Track programme milestones, outputs, and outcomes.
  • Document case studies, feedback, and best practices.


Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree – preferably in Environmental Studies, Education, Social Work, Sustainability, or related field. Applicants from Business / Communications will also be considered.
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in programme coordination/ business development/education/outreach, or CSR/community engagement.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Excel / Social Media channels

  • Creativity in developing engagement activities and outreach content.
  • Willingness to travel across Maharashtra for field events.
