Distribution Modernization Engineer TandD

Description

• Prepare distribution layouts, designs in various distribution software's like ArcGIS, DDS, Pole foreman, Ocalc, AUD, etc. and reports to be carried out in accordance with relevant codes of practice, standards, regulatory authorities, and clients' requirements. All under a suitable level of supervision from an Experienced/Senior Engineer.
• Carry out appropriate reviews of submissions and provide review reports.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients.
• Willing to advance in career by taking increased engineering design responsibilities by closely working with experienced/lead engineer.
• Ensure that all duties are carried out according to the company's Quality Systems Procedures.
• A committed team player able to work on own initiative.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate effectively with internal team members and US team members.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 0-1 year of experience.
• Prior internship at transmission/distribution is preferred.
• Proven verbal and written communication and IT skills.
• Computer software knowledge in MS-office, Auto-Cad, Analysis software/ tools, Google Earth.
• Knowledge of overhead construction methods and distribution system equipment's.
• Knowledge regarding easements, right-of-way, and permitting is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work in different roles for different clients both locally and worldwide
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, AND ACI 318 is preferred.
