JioHotstar owns one of the most ambitious international content slates in the market. The International Shows category spans blockbuster movies, prestige dramas, global franchises, award-winning limited series, and titles that consistently drive cultural conversation well beyond their episode count. It houses 4 of the top 5 studios in the world.

PR for this category is not a support function. It is the primary lever for building a distinct identity around international content in India, and for ensuring the platform is seen as the definitive home for premium global storytelling. That requires more than press releases and coverage reports. It requires a clear point of view, the right media relationships, and the ability to shape narratives that hold up over time.

This role will own this entirely. The expectation is that this person operates with the mindset of someone building something, not managing something. They will set strategy, define the media approach, run the day-to-day, and be personally accountable for the quality and credibility of everything that goes out under this category.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the PR strategy for the International Shows category from brief to execution, across the full slate and all tentpole moments through the year.
• Build and deepen relationships with the publications and journalists that matter for this category, with a focus on premium print, digital, and cultural media rather than just volume coverage.
• Lead launch campaigns for priority titles including press screenings, critic previews, media round tables, and talent interactions coordinated with international studios and distributors.
• Internalise the messaging framework, tone for the category, and hold that line across agency outputs, partner communications, and platform narratives. Partner with Corporate Communications in order to ensure alignment with the overall narrative of the organisation.
• Manage PR agencies with clear briefs and a high bar for output.
• Work closely with Content Acquisitions, Brand, Social, and Programming teams to ensure PR planning is integrated from the start rather than the end.
• Handle international studio relationships on all PR matters including approvals, asset access, and co-promotional alignment within partnership terms.

• 10-12 years of experience in entertainment or media PR, with a meaningful portion of that spent working on premium or international content.
• Established relationships across the publications and journalists who set the agenda for entertainment and culture coverage in India.
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions without a detailed playbook.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft press materials and internal briefs that are sharp and clear.
• Familiarity with the international streaming landscape and how global IP travels across markets.
• Able to manage multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies without losing sight of priorities.
• A genuine interest in international content and the confidence to have a point of view on it, not just facilitate coverage of it.
