We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about building and maintaining robust, scalable infrastructure with a strong emphasis on automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and cloud-based environments.
The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of Microsoft SQL, hands-on experience with AWS services, and a track record of streamlining infrastructure operations through automation and DevOps best practices.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment across multiple environments.
Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, backups, high availability, and disaster recovery planning.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
Automate system monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve environment issues.
Ensure security best practices are followed for all DevOps processes and cloud resources.
Proactively identify areas of improvement in infrastructure and deployment workflows, and implement automation to reduce manual overhead.
Participate in on-call support and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related incidents.
Required Skills & Experience:
4 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and maintenance.
Proficient in Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
Proven experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, or CircleCI.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, VPN, and security best practices in cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, or DataDog.
Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps methodologies.
Knowledge of Windows Server administration or hybrid cloud environments
